Ecological viticulture. That means manual work, patience, using natural resources with respect and mindfulness, vitality and sustainability.
It is an interplay of instinct, readiness to take risks and trust in nature. We see the content of our work in the sum of its characteristics and interrelations. The developments in the microcosm of a vineyard are subject to many influences. It is the aim of biodynamic agriculture to create a natural balance between soil, plants, animals and humans and to strengthen the natural defense mechanisms of the vines.
We try to improve biodiversity by sowing plants that are favourable to vines, keeping bushes, trees and hedges around the vineyards and by using animals and beneficial organisms. All these measures come together to result in better soil quality and increased vine health – and, ultimately, in expressive and authentic wines typical of the region.
